I'm more of a soap/hard cream kinda guy but I shaved with this (sample provided by Phil) cream yesterday and was pretty impressed. Rich lather, decent slickness and no irritation. The bonus? The scent to me is a rich, dead ringer for the original Old Spice. Heart Plus, unlike most product I use, it stayed with me for several hours. I was even catching the scent through my fragrance of the day. Has my olfactory memory failed me or is this scent 21st century Old Spice?

I know, I may be the last arrival to the party. Rolleyes Still, I may also need to check out GFT Spanish Leather aftershave. Cool

I used it just recently myself for the first time and although the scent was strong, I found the lather to be pitiful. I used what a thought to be a normal amount of cream but perhaps I just needed more. How much did you use? I believe I've read of other people say they were less than impressed with this cream as well.

I've never had much love with any Trumper product over the years but this one's got me thinking. I used about a nickel's worth of the cream directly on my brush (face latherer). For what it's worth, I used my new Vie-Long Horse Hair brush, which definitiely has more flow through than my dense badgers. I suppose the added air may contribute to what I found was nice, thick lather.

Tomorrow's another day but this was a nice first trial for me.

Any GFT creams I use, I put about 2 almond size dabs in the scuttle, then build my lather. I have not tried this particular cream but have had good results with the regular GFT and the Limes.

I bought a tube from Phil when he first got it in the shop, and I've been enjoying it for the wonderful scent. It lathers about like I've seen most of the typical Trumper creams.

I've never bought a Trumper cream for how well it lathers anyway.

Gentlemen,
I have Trumper's Spanish Leather shave cream in regular rotation and find it superb in every way. The aftershave I have used for years. The shaving cream puts another smooch on heaven.

I'll have to try again. I found the scent GREAT. The lather however, was very thin and I had to work WAY too hard to get a decent shave. I'll try more product but I got my doubts??

Used GFT SL again today with my Rooney Stubby II 2 band with even better results. So much for my flow theory but who cares - I'm beginning to get hooked! Smile

I might be the only one who found this cream not as good as other Trumper creams and its scent pretty weak and "boring".Im preparing a Shave Nok PIF and I will include this cream for other people to test it and have their opinion on it.

I bought some from Bullgoose and thought it was a decent cream. Performed about the same as Lavanda, Musgo Real, Tabac or any other tube cream I have. Scent was not too strong, good lubrication. I used a Vie-Long badger to face lather. I do not think I would buy it again, but I don't regret buying it.

I got a sample of this from Wingdo in a razor I bought from him and love it. It made great lather for me this morning, so I think I'll buy a whole tube of it. I love the scent.

I haven't tried this one, but I am in the crowd of "underwhelmed at GFT cream." I got a sample from Italian Barber of the GFT scent. I found the scent unimpressive in a pleasant way, but the lather was strictly run-of-the-mill. Reminded me of my experiences with ToOBS.

I rather like this cream. I get a decent lather from it, on part with any other cream, and the scent is very much like vintage Old Spice.
