Well I finally did it. I got a slant a nice 39c barber pole. After my first shave I noticed it seemed much milder than my 34C.

I used my normal blade and soap as I didn't want to add too many variables. I only did a two shave pass WTG and XTG. More practice needed methinks. I will do the same for a couple of days before I try an against the grain run.

Does anyone else find their slant to be quite mild or has my face got used to something a bit more aggressive.

Personally I find the slant not aggressive at all, just effective.

I think often people thinks that efficient == aggressive...

The 39C is a mighty axe, but unlike some razors it won't take your skin off along with the stubble. That said; it is more aggressive than some other razors, but in my experience that can vary from blade to blade.

I've always been amazed t how aggressive the 34C is. I don't think it's generally thought of as being aggressive because it's recommended as a starter razor. But in my experience it is more aggressive than my 39C Slant. It's far more aggressive than an EJ DE89. I also find it to be more aggressive than a Weber.
