I tried Mitchell's Wool Fat soap for the first time today and its amazing. Definitely gone to the top of the rotation. I even like the smell although I know a lot don't. Even better for me is the fact I live about a mile away from the house (it is indeed a converted house) and I can buy the refills for £5 or $7.90.

Because I live so close if anyone wants anything picking up and posting (within reason) just shout out. I will shortly be doing a give away on the contests board so watch this space.

I really enjoyed the soap. It was tricky to lather with my hard water, but with a little extra care it provided a thick lather and an excellent shave with a pleasing scent. Unfortunately, it burnt me a bit, so I sold it off.

$7.90 and a mile away, how can you beat that? One of my all time favorite hard soaps. And I also like the nice mild scent. Just smells clean to me.

That's right; you really can't beat that. I would be interested in seeing pictures of the house factory if it's not too much trouble.

that is a great price, I wonder how much overseas shipping would kill the discount though?

Now that's a great idea. Shiny, if you have one, take you digital camera for that mile trip and take some pictures. Heck, if they will let you, take some of the inside operation.

MWF is by far my favorite soap. I actually love this soap so much I regret not buying it in the MWF container, because it will be in my permanent rotation. I'd be on board with checking out the photos too. Sure they would be happy to let a shaving community such as ours check out their place.

MWF is a really nice soap, nothing about it is shoddy. How interesting that you live so close. We definitely need pictures even if you need to somehow infiltrate the place like a Mission Impossible mission.

Big +1 on MWF being awesome! It's by far my favourite soap. For $7.90 a puck, I would have a suitcase full!

Huge +1 on photos. I hope Graham lets you in to snap a few shots.

"Your missing, Shiny, should you choose to accept it, is to take pictures of MWF being made. As always, should you or any of your Shave Nook force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. Good luck, Shiny. This tape will self-destruct in five seconds. I second ( or third or fourth ) the motion to try to get a picture of the house.

MWF may be my favorite shave product of all time. I fall in and out of love with so many others, but the MWF just continues to please every single time I reach for it.

I lathered up my first Shy MWF like no one's business Cool and am very impressed.

My skin felt very smooth and moisturized after it. Tongue

Would definitely be interested in seeing the pics and I'll probably call for a refill when I am about to finish this one. Biggrin

Thanks for the pic Norm. A very modest house. Somehow I pictured an English country cottage in the middle of a field surrounded by sheep and bespectacled Fred Mitchell loading soap into an old truck err lorry. Biggrin

Haha so did I!

I saw that pic on the street and was almost saddened that it wasn't of a lush green meadow with frolicking sheepies! Sad

Sorry chaps, got waylayed with my new job. You can see it is just a converted house on a suburban street. Regular houses each side too.
