As you consider the variety of aftershaves on the market I think it would be interesting to see what we all look for on the shelf. So imagine you could take your favorite aftershave and modify it. Which would it be?

Or if you care to, rank them in order of your preference.

1. Menthol version

2. Lime version

3. A balm formulation

4. A cologne

5. A Sandalwood version

1 - Menthol

Do not care for scented balms, edt, or sandalwood.

Lime. I don't see that many lime aftershaves out there and I never hear about a lime plus something aftershave being well done.

I have a bottle of Booster Lime that I've been thinking about splitting some out and adding some menthol crystals to it to see what happens

A Rose splash in the spirit of Floyd or Lucky Tiger would be nice.

In reality I like my aftershave choices. If anything I would love an alcohol based, unscented with allantoin and castor oil. That way it would not conflict with any cologne I use yet provide what I consider important in an aftershave.

Mentholated splashes as soothing balms is where it's at for me.

I would like a real sandalwood splash! The available are over priced and unfortunately..under natural.

I would like a lemon or lime splash that has staying power. There are no shortages of lemon/lime splashes on the market but they are all very fleeting.

I'd like to see Clubman with menthol, glycerin and maybe Vit E or some other skin care goodies.

Another thing I'd like to see is a complex bay rum (as opposed to something like Master's) without a huge hit of cloves, which the wife despises.

I really would like to see the Creed eau de toilettes offered in splash aftershave form. I love the scents, and my skin does fine with most aftershaves while not tolerating the vast majority of EdTs.

Unfortunately with most of the mentholated product I have used or boosted with crystals, the scent of the menthol overpowers a nice original scent. If the cooling effect could be added without altering the scent of the AS I would be all for it.
