Here is the shave shelf I built for my paw in law. I used the spring clips for brush holders so that ANY SIZE brush he may get in the future will fit. Cutting a one size fits all brushes slot in wood is impossible so I found these online. The first photo is the bare shelf and the second what it could look like loaded up with kit. The d-ring hangers are hidden from view by the wood balls. Third photo is the kit I'm PIFing him.

Opps! Here is the PIF kit I'm sending.

Naw, just showing my appreciation. He was there for us during my post crash ordeal. The least I can do.

Well thought out solution. Are you figuring a way to expand it??
May need to!
Thanks for showing the idea. Brush holders are great!

No way to expand it. It has 8 holes total to hold razors. Dry brushes can be set on the shelf. The shelf was made to fit exactly in his lavatory nook. He called today and said it fit great. I don't see him getting into hardcore collecting razors so 8 positions should be enough. Construction was easy: 2 even lengths of oak, 2even lengths of dowel, 4 1 inch diameter holes drilled halfway through the oak, 4 double ended screws screwed into the balls through the board into the dowels. No glue used, just 4 special screws. Sealed with HELMSMAN outdoor polyurethane to keep warpage down.
