I just acquired a tube of the Proraso, and have been using the Bigelow. I know Proraso makes the Bigelow. Are they the same in different packaging? BTW, I ask because I just put the Proraso into storage w/o trying it.

Thanks!

To my knowledge they are the exact same product in different tubes.

Brian, if you are talking about the green tube you got from me, you should try it before you put it away. That is the original formula and it is some good stuff.

If you have the pre-reformulation Proraso, they would be the same. Not sure if Bigelow is using the reformulated version or not, but their site still lists the ingredients as if it has not been reformulated. If not, I would still say they are very close to being the same.

It is indeed.

Thanks everyone.

Edit: I took it out of storage Johnny. I'll probably try it on Sunday. The problem is that I'm just getting too much "stuff" in my cabinet.

All the Bath & Body Works stores in my area are now stocking reformulated Bigelow.

The Bath & Body Works Bigelow shaving cream is the same - it even says "made exclusively by Proraso for C. R. Bigelow" on the tube. As I said, I find the two creams identical, but the Bigelow comes in a beautiful brilliant green tube, and is also offered in a travel friendly half-size tube. I took this smaller tube along on a recent trip and was extremely pleased with the result.

Never put Proraso into storage! There are plenty of soaps that should be put into storage this isn't one of them. I'm fairly sure it is against some rule to treat Italian Royality in that manner!Biggrin
