A shaver on /r/Wicked_Edge received this unusual (and gorgeous) slant razor from Germany, but no one over there has any idea who made it. It apparently has no manufacturer mark on it; was wondering if you fine folks could identify it. If you want to check out the thread itself, you can see it here: http://www.reddit.com/r/wicked_edge/comm...yesterday/

Thanks in advance!

Beautiful razor and congratulations. The head looks like a Merkur bakelite razor only all metal.

Thanks, but it's actually not mine. I'm just very curious as to who made it. It was my understanding that Merkur's practice is to stamp a manufacturer mark on the razor somewhere, which is why we are unsure of the maker.

You might try to find it here. A discussion of slants on a German Forum. Has many examples. Seem to remember one similar. A lot of razor companies had heads and handles made for them by Solingen based steel fabricators in the 30s.
