Can anybody recommend a totally fragrance free shaving soap that would be good for somebody with chemical sensitivity? Ideally not something that is lightly scented but totally odor free.

I have been using Bay Rum unscented but it doesn't seem to provide the lather or shave I'm looking for.

Mikes shaving soaps are great and he has an unscented version.

Also, the Proraso white tub (sensitive version) is great as well.

To me these have no smell other than the smell of clean plain soap.

Mama Bears unscented is just that, unscented, no dyes, nothing, clear, clean soap.

+1 on Mike's Unscented - I have the remains of a sample and it's one of the few unscented soaps I know of that smells clean.

Tucson that's a good question, just wish I had a good answer. We have some very nice relatively fragrance free products but that alone would not assure your skin will be happy with the chemical makeup of the product. Trying on your own is the only way to tell.

I, too, think highly of Mike's Natural Soaps. I'm sensitive to fragrances, so I get his soap scented with Lime EO (essential Oil). His Unscented is excellent, as well.

Mystic Water also makes an unscented soap for sensitive skin:

Lee's Razors still has the original Art of Shaving soap made by Valobra (tallow-based soap) in Unscented. This is an outstanding soap, but it is expensive at 30.00 a cake. This soap has recently been replaced with a US-made palm oil-based soap, though the new soap got a good review on this forum.

Thank you for all the responses!

It isn't so much that I have a skin issue as it is that I have an immune issue if you will, my body is simply more sensitive to smells (more so with unnatural scents) and chemicals so I get some serious brain fog around the wrong products.

Stirling soap was going to get the business as I liked the ingredients slightly more however Mike's was the winner on shipping cost so I will try them and see how it goes, if things go well I will word a reply in a way that will call attention to their product for the chemically sensitive community.

Good luck. Sounds like a real pain to work around.

I think you'll find that most unscented shave products aren't odorless - for example the Proraso sensitive has a pretty strong smell of oats. But if your sensitivities are mostly to certain chemicals, you'll probably be fine.
