Has anyone seen one of these? I just got it with a batch and it is unopened. Are they good to use - smooth, aggressive etc? If they are a good shave I doubt if I would want to open it. Thanks

Yes, they are a good razor. Just one of many ways Schick packaged razors to promote them back in the day.

should you decide to open it, you'll likely find a variant of the L-1. (what the era of the packaging suggests, and the fact that it's a "twin blade" iteration) by variant, I mean to say that the bar may be the "regular" grooved bar, or it might be the grooved bar with the added "5-bumps". despite the "injector twin blade" appellation, it WILL take SE blades.
see the injector page link for a pic of the L-1. efficiency ? not all that different than say a Gillette adjustable set at around 5-ish, maybe, IMO, but they are still a different animal. I find the compact head works better for me than my DE's, but I wouldn't have stuck with it if I didn't like the current Schick SE blade. None of `em will ever shave smoother than the blade that's in it. Depends, too, on what you've been shaving with. It took me a few shaves to warm up to my old one (an N-1-slightly mlider) last fall, then I bought 5 more L's !!
If it's a good shave (my daily go-to) then you WOULD want to open it !! and USE it ! Biggrin
