Gents: You could have knocked me over with a feather. I just received this almost-new (hasn't fully bloomed) Chubby 2 in 2-band and the knot is BIGGER than the knot on my Chubby 3 2-band!

The knot on the CH3 measures 30.5mm; the knot on the CH2 measures 33mm !!!

I have no idea how this came to pass, but since I love big knots, I am very pleased to have the world's biggest Chubby 2!

That is very interesting. The brushmaker at Simpson must have been feeling very generous that day. Pretty cool!

The more extreme bulb shape may have something to do with it.

I wonder what they measure with calipers if you only use the really skinny part of the caliper and only measure exactly at the top of the handle.

Almost new? So was this bought directly from Simpsons or 2nd hand? That knot btw, is simply SUPERB! I would motor boat the hell out of that baby! Oh yeah, is she softer than the the CH3 next to it? It looks that way....

If you like big brushes, you should have ordered the Chubby 1 two-band. Smile

Congratulations on a superb brush.

Bravado - i bought it secondhand, but was assured that it had been used five times or less. As far as softness is concerned, they are just about equal. Fortunately, sometimes you feel like a bulb, sometimes you don't.

That Chubby 2 even has more white than black in it! Badger

That's a keeper!

Please let us know how it performs.
