OK here is what happens when you give me a knot that looks like this !

Well this one has the softest darn tips I have ever had on my face. Nice Backbone and flow through too. I like it just fine, but it's really the only extremely bulb shaped brush I have ever had and all of my old boars and most of my old badgers were extremely fan shaped so this one definitely will take some getting used to.

I believe I will set the lamp base in acrylic to give it a bit more height Biggrin

It's ok to laugh Biggrin

Now that is clever sir!

Any connection to incandescent bulbs or was it just a crazy cool idea?

Well when I pulled the knot out of the package and saw it for the first time in person I was standing next to a shelf in the bedroom that had a very old decanter shaped like a light bulb. So I pulled off the lid, which is the lamp base, and dropped the knot in. Just unusual enough to get a chuckle so I glued her together.
I've got a little acrylic resin left over from another project so I think I will encase the base and make it just a tad taller.

Thanks for commenting guys Smile

I got quite a chuckle out of the intended humor/creativity.

It should look fantastic encased in acrylic.

That's a great look. Please post more pics once you bulk out the handle with the acrylic.

Excellent work, instead of a brush stand you can just screw it into the overhead light fitting to dry.

Eric, I just realized we were all fixated on the handle! OK good reason, but there's a knot there too!

I agree, it's just a pretty fantasic synthetic. I have a 20, 22 and 24mm. I'm not much for larger brushes and I didn't buy the 24mm for my face, but I've used it there and it's some sort of fabulous. It will definitely stay in my face shaving lineup.

I don't know that I like the TGN knots better than the Muhle Silvertip fibers since they are quite different, but each is really quite good in it's own measure.
