I just sold all my other blades and now have decided to keep only two DE blades, which I now have 200 stashed up of (both blades)

Feather SP for my more forgiving mild razors - DE89/R89/Weber etc.

Gillette 7 O'Clock SP Blue for my more aggressive razors - R41/Joris/Futur etc.

I have now tried to get a 100 pack of the Super Iridium, but they are always sold out Sad
I just saw this blade from Gillette called Silver Blue - how does that compare to the Gillette 7 O'Clock SP Blue ?

I like that the Gillette 7 O'Clock SP Blue is smooth, sharp and forgiving. My Feather ís just sharp and pretty raw Tongue

Original Super Iridium blades are available at http://www.superiridiumblades.com/p/products.html The seller is a known good vendor, per the wetshaving forum where I found the info a few days ago. Can't remember which forum -- tough being old!

Super Blues are right up there with the SIs, in my opinion.

And of course the 7 o'clock blues are a top shelf blade, just a half-notch below the SBs and SIs (for my face, anyhow).

Best of luck

They have been unavailable from the manufacturer for ten months now. I am afraid this blade may be gone for good. We'll see.

That's really too bad. Another great product gone.

I love the 7 O'Clock Blues. Very smooth and sharp too.
I can't believe that another great blade bites the dust.

The Silver Blue's are a tad sharper AND smoother IMO but as always YMMV.

Claus, the Gillette 7 O'clock blues are my favourite blade and I use them 90% of the time. Very smooth, sharp and forgiving. Number_one Cheers

Phil, I hope you are wrong and the blues will still be manufactured. Confused

I also like feathers but you have to be a bit more careful when using those.

I'm saddened that this quality blade was dropped if true. It does appear that normal channels no longer carry this blade, and I don't see any on ebay.

At least I have a decent stash, along with the also excellent/discontinued Bleue Extras. And Silver Blues. What is it about blue? Dodgy

The three greatest blades being*been* made would have to be.

Feather
Super Iridium
Gillette Dark Blue

Its too bad about the Blues though, Astra's are pretty close, but they severely lack the longevity, for me they're dead in 2 shaves.

I have enjoyed the shaves from Silver Blues. It is a shame that they could be gone forever.

Hi Brad, not the Silver Blues but the 7 O'Clock dark blues. I am glad I have a stash.

3 days into the Blues and so far I am getting a terrific shave every day. MUCH better than the Astras.

Glad I still have 95 left Smile

Just compared them to Silver Blue's and to me the SP 7 OC Blue is a bit smoother in feel, while just as sharp. But with that said, now that the SP 7 OC Blue is very difficult to get, I could see the Silver Blue as pretty darn good replacement for them, not quite as smooth though, but still a very nice performing blade from Gillette.
