Why did they discontinue this stuff? After using the Spanish Floid in the Vigoroso format for quite sometime I decided to finally try the famed "Blue". Well, now I know why Johnny is addicted to this stuff...the scent, the feel on the face and the touch of menthol is just fantastic! a nice change of pace from my other a/s and the Spanish Floid. Too darn bad that this stuff is discontinued but I will certainly begin to hoard this stuff.

I have sent six emails to the company that makes it and to this day I have never gotten a reply back from them.

Personally, I can't come up with one good reason why they would discontinue this great product. They could put it in smaller bottles or even cheap plastic bottles and I would still buy it. Novel idea, put it in the same bottles as the Suave and Vigoroso. Don't want to call it Floid Blue, okay, just call it Floid After Shave. We can see what color it is.

It just disgusting.Angry

Johnny do you have any estimation for how long we will be able to find it anywhere for purchase? I just ordered a bottle but it's not going to be enough. I would like to wait a little while before I purchase some more but I'm not sure if that's a good idea.

I really have no idea. I am ordering one bottle per month and will continue to do so until one of three things happens.

1. Inventory is depleted.

2. I run out of money.

3. I reach my 20 bottle goal.

Floid Blue is one of my all time favorite aftershaves! Great performer and the scent is fantastic! I currently have three bottles, but I better hurry and get more before Johnny buys them all Wink

Johnny how bout sharing the email address with us and we can help flood them with emails. I bet you have quite a few people who would help, me included and I've never tried the stuff.

Johnny,

I admire your continued championing of the Floid Blue as one of the best A/S out there and certainly your favorite. I was influenced by your positive comments and ultimately purchased a bottle and now have more on the way for reserve.

You gotta slow down on the winning of Blue converts or you may not be able to reach the goal of 20 bottles with all us trying to buy a bottle.

Having not tried Floid Blue, what is the attraction? How is it different from orange Floid?

How does Proraso compare to this? I know it also comes in 400mL bottles.

That being said, I have a mostly full bottle of the blue on the way to me now Biggrin

It's different scent altogether...Now I'm not one who can accurately describe scents but here goes...Floid "orange" or as I know it the Spanish version in both Suave and Vigoroso...The scent is sweet, tinge spicy with a powdery dry down...Italian "Blue"...kind of Aqua Velva- ish but much more refined, less "patchouli type"...clean, crisp, refreshing, barbershop scent. All Floid variants have menthol but the Blue is lighter in content but is still pronounced when splashed on the face...Hope this helps.

I splashed on a bit after my shave this morning and I like it. Now we just have to wait till Mrs. Dave comes home from work and see what she thinks about it. If she likes, it, katey bar the door.

By the time she gets home from work there will be no scent left. Best she's there when you put it on.

Always sad to see a beloved product go away, especially "software" that I never got a chance to try. I'm one of those who doesn't like to use consumable products that are discontinued.

Anyone know where I could get samples of Floid? Garry at the sample shop doesn't seem to have any, and buying scents untested is a bad proposition at my house. My wife is very sensitive to smells.

If used everyday, about six months.
