It's been about five weeks since I went back to classic wet shaving with DE razors, and I've never used a brush before this time although I've been wet shaving for at least forty years. It feels very good now. Zen-like. I actually look forward to shaving these days, as Ive never loved the process before.

Small bathroom and a few recent acquisitions. More inbound but I'd hardly call this a den...

Thank you TexBilly! My software has been expanding, but I think the hardware (DE razors) may be contracting soon. I'm really liking the AS-D1 and think I'll sell the others keeping just one backup. Not really sure yet.

The Muhle Retro is a brush I've used only three times. I do like it as these things go. It was the 2nd one I'd purchased. Bought the Simpson Special (Best) later on after it, and a Vulfix Pure was the starter for me. I think I appreciate each of the brushes more now, for having the contrasting differences of the others. I use them all equally still, believe it or not. The Retro is luxurious, but it's very big. The pure brush excels in exfoliating, and that's an enjoyable feeling. The Best brush is the most precise in use and it's feeling-on-face is a compromise between the other two. I like the Retro. Love isn't a word I apply to these things (unless I've been drinking). Smile Some might use it, or something of it's quality all of the time; Not me. For me they're all keepers.

I think that is a nice collection of goodies. The amount of collection or size of the space does not determine whether it is a nook or not. If you shave there, it qualifies as your nook. Anything outside that small area is storage.

Rob ... that's some quality gear you have amassed so far! No worries ... the quantity of gear will insidiously grow without you realizing!

Some great stuff in there. All you need is a sink, razor, brush and soap to make a nook.

The AS-D1 was my favorite early razor as well.

5 weeks huh!? When I was 5 weeks in I had one brush, one soap, maybe 2, and one everyday razor that I was getting to really know.

You're well on your way with the varous ADs. Welcome!
