My wife and I found out yesterday that my 14yr old stepdaughter was one of 4 seniors in the country to win a summer internship at Marc Jacobs in New York. We are so proud of her we can barely contain ourselves. We can't say anything as the school will make the announcement on Tuesday. She is the only one of her class to win the internship.

I knew she had talent, but I never understood for a second that she had "talent". To be accepted by a designer like Marc Jacobs is a dream come true for her. We are so excited that we finally get to enjoy this major accomplishment with her tomorrow. I couldn't be more proud of her.

Thank you for letting me post.

Sounds like a great opportunity! I'm actually quite impressed by the fact she's a 14 y/o senior.

Thank you Billy and Tom.

She is actually a senior next year, but next year when she applies, she can't apply as a senior, she has to apply as a freshman in college. She'll also be 15 in March. Sorry I guess I should have stated that. She'll graduate a year early at 16. She is like her mamma that one.

If any of you want to see what she does at her school, you can google Junk 2 Funk, Savannah Arts Academy, or visit (Junk 2 Funk Wows). Since she was a junior she got to actually contribute to the designs this year, and do some sewing. Next year, she will be a lead designer in the fashion show.

Thank you very much Steven, Howler, celestino, Lee, Johnny, and Brad.

My wife got to be at the assembly this morning when they announced it, I'm stuck 1000 miles away in Texas, and she was very excited, ecstatic even.

We also had a young lady accepted to Calvin Klein, and a young man accepted to Tom Ford. They have quite a few talented kids at that school.

Hi Clinton

Your wife and you should be rightly proud of her.

And your daughter should be VERY! proud of her achievements, combining hard-work and talent at such a tender age is more than applaudable...

Take care, Mike
