I got this brush today , and I thought I could share it with the forum :

This brush has a 24 mm knot , 50 mm loft and a total height of 95 mm.It has an acrylic handle , like the Semogue Limited Edition selected silvertip 2010 , but this one is totally painted in imitation Ivory.

Here a pic with another proto , a 22 mm selected silvertip with the black handle :

And here a pic with the Semogue Limited Edition 2010 selected silvertip brush :

I havent used it yet for shaving , but I have been testing it , and so far its an excellent performer , specially with triple milled shaving soaps. This knot contains more hair than the LE 2010 , and its basically the same knot that the foroafeitado 2013 horn handle brush edition will have :

Looking forward to use it tomorrow and post my very first impressions of it.

I'm confused. Is this a prototype from the 2010 LE, or rather a prototype for an upcoming Semogue?

Please, pretty please, say the latter.

Newly made or from 2010? Regardless I know you'll enjoy it but you must be careful. Utah isn't that large of a state. I'm sure 1500 Nook members could find you AND that brush! Laughing1

If it's painted, is the handle made of wood?

Acrylic.

It's a beautiful brush and I would be proud to own one. I'm just puzzled why they would paint acrylic ivory color instead of just using an ivory colored acrylic like every other brush manufacture.
