For your consideration this weekend, I am offering up two spectacular brushes. The first is a Plisson High Mountain White 2-band size 12. This brush has been lightly used and is a great performer. It offers excellent flow through, a tall lofted knot with very good backbone and scrub, and just a touch of scritch. I purchased the brush new last year.

The second is a Simpsons Chubby 2 in 2-band Super. I have owned this brush for about 2 years and have only lightly used it. The lettering has faded but is still there. The knot is impressive: it is very densely packed, forms a very nice bulb shape, is short and scrubby, and has very soft tips. You will not feel scritch with this one. I purchased a CH2 2-band for my father, and his came with a less densely packed, taller, slightly more fan shaped knot. This CH2 was the pick of the litter from The Superior Shave when first purchased.

I am asking:

Plisson $250
Chubby 2 $200 SOLD

Payment via Paypal, shipping USPS Priority included.

Pushing $ concerns aside, I don't believe a finer Simpsons permutation exists than 2-band CH2 Super.

Congrats to whoever got the Chubby. Someone is going to get a great brush with that Plisson.

If I had the money, the Plisson is the one I would want.

I keep coming back to look at the Plisson. I keep scrolling down and each time I am shocked at the perfection of that Chubby 2 knot. Wow. Someone got lucky with that one.

Back to the Plisson; how would you describe the scritchiness/scrubbiness when compared to say, Vie-Long two band hair?

The hair is quite similar. I find the Plisson hair has more backbone, and the tips have a little scritch (little - we are not talking anything like Rooney Finest here), unlike Vie-Long.

Andrew, did you loan that Plisson to me a while back or was it Sully that loaned me one?

In that case I wish I did have the money to buy it.

I can vouch for this Plisson. It is one fantastic brush.

I would be tempted to buy a Plisson... but the prospect of scritch does not do it for me...

I decided I just can't let the Plisson go and am ending this sale.
