I have had 3 Taylor of Old Bond Street tubes break at the top, just where the threaded knob for the cap joins the tube itself. It's so annoying. I remember when the tubes were metal and the cream was, IMO, just a bit better.

Has anyone else experienced this tube-breaking phenomenon? I wonder if it might be worth complaining to TOBS that their tubes are defective?

That's pretty annoying, I guess another reason to go with a tub. Never bought TOBS cream in a tube, but all the tubed creams I have use metal tubes and have no breakage issues.

Tubes are good for travelling, but not when they are leakers.

I had this happen with a tube of Herbs of Bulgaria lavender shaving cream. Very frustrating. :/

I just finished a tube of Proraso and the threads crossed causing the cap not to fully tighten down. Everything is plastic so some extra care is necessary. I hate babying it.

I broke my tube of TOBS Lavender at the same spot. I've taken to squeezing most of my tubes out into small plastic tubs with snap on lids. I find them easier to store.

And Taylor prides itself on its products. Pity about the packaging. Maybe I'll send them a polite email. If I hear back I will post.

Wrote to Taylor; they are looking into it. They were straight onto it, too. Impressive response so far. I'll keep us posted.
