I was at Walmart today and noticed Axe has a new shaving line including cartridge razors. I would never use one but I still found it amusing Axe in partnership with Schick is cutting into Gillette's market. They also have a face wash, aftershave gel, and goop in a can.

I also noticed Walmart added several more shaving products including the Every Man Jack line, more Aveno products, and Cremo Creme which I actually do like.

Crackstar has tried the face wash and AS gel and gave them a thumbs up, so I might have to give these a go when I spot them.

Here's the lineup from Walmart. They even have electric razors and body trimmers. Cartridges are just over $2/each, so a bit cheaper than Gillette

Is Wilkinson made by Schick? They have Schick written on the package.

No. The Indian wilkinson blades are made by Gillette but wilkinson, for the most part, is independent

Schick and Wilkinson-Sword are the same company, I'm pretty sure.

Energizer Holdings->Wilkinson-Sword->Schick (brand)

I saw these in Walgreens yesterday and thought about buying the AS balm, but decided against it.

I suppose it was only a matter of time. I get some satisfaction out of the fact they partnered w/ Shick over Gillette.

Axe is just awful smelling stuff. The only people that I know of who use it are adolescent guys and twenty year olds who do not realize that they're no longer adolescent guys. I know of no female who finds the scent appealing, in spite of their ridiculous commercials to the contrary. They do have outstanding marketing though, so it is hardly surprising that they would dive all the way into the highly profitable shaving market.

I agree with you 100% about the body spray and body wash. My dad loves the body spray, I used to wear it in Jr. High and High school. I stopped when Dove came out with a new deodorant and then I moved to Molton Brown Black Pepper.

I bought some of the Chilled Face Wash. I guess if I was trying to attract jail bait, I would go through the motions of wearing the body spray and using the body wash.

I am waiting for Walmart to carry double edge razors but it will probably never happen. But they are getting a bit more progressive.

I like how we associate progress with technological regression. Biggrin
