Link to a Slideshow: Habitat Houses Around the World

This coming Saturday I will be volunteering with Habitat St Louis for the first time this year. I believe the work this Saturday will be helping to clear a new build site, ready for new homes to be built this coming year...

Last year I managed three Saturdays, wish it could've been more, but aligning "free" time away from the family with Saturday Build Days doesn't prove to be that easy...

Your kind words directed at me are undeserved (in my eyes) Blush

There are so many more deserving people (volunteers) than I helping out eg "House Leader's" people who commit to every Saturday throughout a home build.

Saw this today, maybe I'll get lucky and get to drive one around on Saturday Tongue

I went and did that once. It is amazing how fast things can come together. The contractors there directing the activity have to be pretty good given the varied back grounds and experience of the volunteers.

So I didn't get to drive the excavator today, it was busy in a nearby street, digging out foundations, basement, for another new Habitat built home.

Instead the volunteers on site accomplished...

Hi Freddy

I'm hoping to get out there again in a couple of weeks time (Saturday 16th March), but family weekend commitments may prevent that from happening...

Take care, Mike
