I agree ... the SOC SE 2012 is an excellent performer for the price ... distinctive handle too! Pick one up now, before they're gone.

Phil wants to charge shipping but Italian barber is free shipping and BG shaving doesn't want to match the deal...

Or why not just order it from IB?

I usually throw in a shave cream or shave soap to take advantage of free ship. This one is an outstanding inexpensive cream that I use all of the time: Gillette Menthol Shaving Cream (100ml) $7.50

Why should I spend more money when that is the item I want - is that the point of competition? Shipping charges plus 5 dollars is still money out of my pocket.

I would happily pay the extra $5 for Phil's customer service and fast shipping.

Well - Walmart matches all prices and has non existent customer service but they are the biggest store in the US....so they must be doing a bad thing by meeting competitors???

I'm not getting what you're saying, Italian Barber and Bullgoose have it at the same price, just that IB is offering free shipping. So why not just get it from there is what I said. Huh

Well, it's your thread, so I guess you can take it where you want, but I'm guessing you won't get a lot of sympathy here. The beauty of the free market is that you can weigh the tradeoffs and buy where you want. Why would you complain about a vendor's pricing--just buy it somewhere else if that suits you better. As for comparing business models, you might want to revisit the notes you took in your MBA classes.

On another note, the handle is a dark swirled blue (not black). I think it's very classy-looking, and it is a wonderful brush.

Look folks - the point of my thread was that I gave your preferred vendor a chance to meet another advertised price by a vendor on the internet. Guy was short about it and said he will not ship for free. I was not asking for anything extraordinary or a wholesale price. I don't see what is so wonderful about the guy when he won't even say - hey I will match it if you order from me next time...

mehere, just a suggestion but I'd back off and do a little research on vendor deals and their professional reputation on this and other forums.

Yes sir , both are. And your point is ...?

Lets see if I get this right , since its turning very odd :

-you post a WTB thread

- a member tells you where to get it

-you answer that the seller wants to charge you shipping (around 5 dollars) and doesnt match price another vendor.

-So , at the end , it seems you don't want to pay the other vendor (IB) for a new brush , but get a second hand one. If not ,whats the purpose of a WTB thread ? Huh Maybe I do know...

It's a waste of time trying to understand it. This same user has attempted to buy items from me on BST a couple of times and always tries to worm me down 5-10 bucks, no matter how low I already am. I just refuse...I'd rather keep the stuff than go rock bottom. Tongue
