I wonder how many shavenookers prefer to use a signature scent ?

I prefer to use a variety of fragrances depending on my mood, the season/weather and the occasion.

I use 8 AS balms and 8 AS splashes, but all toned down scent wise, to avoid interfering with my scent du jour Smile

Currently I'm down sizing my fragrance collection from 300+ bottles to 150+ bottles - I only keep my favorites. The rest are sold.

My goal is to have a collection of circa 100 bottles, but it's difficult for me to reach that number, so perhaps I'm staying at the 150 mark.

I prefer heavier leather/Tobacco scents for winter time and lighter citrus/aquatic scents for summer time.

What do you guys use and prefer - let me hear a little bit about your preferences Smile

I've only started using frag regularly for about 15 months and I have 67 decants or samples, so I definitely jump around. I haven't even tried half of them yet, but of what I've tried, I prefer

DR Harris Marlborough
Burberry London
James Bronnely
Tabac
Kenneth Cole - Black

I use three different balms and nine different after shaves. It all just depends on the mood I'm in when I walk in to the bathroom to shave and which soap/cream I decide to use.

If a Shrink gave me a word association test and gave me the word Johnny, my immediate reply would be Floid Blue Smile

For me SWMBO version 1 said Alt Insbruck smells like I might be getting lucky.
So I wear it any time I am going to Vegas Smile.

With colognes I usually stick to one until it's gone which usually takes some time. Right now I'm on a bottle of Issey Myake.

I never used after shave splashes or balms until I began traditional wet shaving. I never knew that there was such a variety of after shave splashes or balms.

I have not chosen a signature scent from what I use. I like the variety of using different scents. I do enjoy the bay rum scents.
Using the different scents is fun.

I'm definitely a multiple scent guy, but I'm trying to limit the pool- I am a big fan of Bay Rum so I have several different bay rums, and I also like Clubman Pinaud aftershaves and tonics, so I have a bunch of them. Krampert's 80 Below is also a favorite.

Alt-Innsbruck, Floid Blue, and Wm. Neumann are on my wishlist.

I am definitely an "as the mood strikes" type of aftershave/cologne/eau de toilette user and I have about 20 -30 or so (possibly more). Favorites, though, might be:

Roger & Gaulet L'Homme
Tiffany for Men
Floris No. 89
Terre d'Hermes
Hermes Concentre d'Orange Verte
Pashana Original After Shave
Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve After Shave Cologne
Alt Innsbruck Eau de Cologne
Annick Goutal Eau du Sud
Christian Dior Eau Sauvage

There are others. Biggrin

I tend to pick shaving soap, aftershave, and cologne (if any) largely by mood. So some days I want a light, fruity combo, some days more spicy, etc.

So put me down as a multiple scent guy, for sure.

I am definitely a multiple scent guy. I am mostly into classic barbershop scents. I have about 50 aftershaves in rotation. I am always looking for new (old) fragrances.

For aftershaves, I only use one:

Mandom Lucido

For colognes, it depends on the season:

YSL L'Homme (fall & winter time)
Blue Seduction (spring time)
Sean John I Am King (summer time)
