Here's an unusual German slant - a "Somefa" razor, made in Solingen by "Solinger Metallwaren-Fabrik GmbH"

Wonderfully unique slant Emanuel!

I'm also looking forward to seeing it restored back to it's original glorious state.

Well it's not a fancy pic but this was my SOTD this morning. My first ever use of a slant razor.

I'll play.

Since Jan 2, I've been exclusively straight shaving except when I travel and so these slants are getting no love for me, but they've been on loan to others and so haven't been completely idle.
First up is this no name Bakelite. It was an impulse buy and I didn't even look closely at the picture because I was surprised it was Bakelite when it arrived. There was no mention of it in the description and the pics were not great. Haven't even used it yet. Does anyone know anything about it?

Next is this Lunawerks-Solingen Slant which is the spitting image of some of the Hoffritz's I've seen. My suspicion is that the same factory made them both. It's an excellent shaver, though not as good as what comes after:

This last slant I've posted on previously and it is not only my best slant, is the best DE I've ever shaved with of any sort. The first time I used it I had the best shave ever up to that moment. Over the next few days, I kept using it to see if it was a fluke and it wasn't. Simply the closest, irritation free DE shaves I've ever had. It's my beloved Cabiri. It arrived, as far as I could tell, never having been used. The box is leather and looks brand new and the original tag is still in it. It says "Rasiert Wunderbar" and that's no misrepresentation:

How do you guys clean in between those little "teeth" on the Merkur 37C or 37G? I have a 37G and in each of those notches I have white soap scum that's to small to get to with Q-Tips.

Any old toothbrush or even a nail brush will work...I actually bought a cheap toothbrush with stiff bristles just for that purpose.

That Cabiri is amazing! I've never seen one of those before! Thanks for sharing. Oh, and the Bakelite Slant looks pretty cool, too. The only Bakelites I've seen are the cream colored ones, of which I am the proud owner!
