We are going to be producing a "Diamond Jubilee" brush to celebrate, well ... 60 years of Lizzie's reign.

60 will be produced & they will be priced reasonably (less than £100.00), but made beautifully. Individually numbered & dated.

They will be very different from the traditional Simpson brush in terms of handle colour. We are yet to decide on the grade of hair to fill them with. Perhaps you guys could help us out on that score?

Mark

For less than 100.00 I would suggest Simpsons Best Badger.

Actually, Johnny, he said 100 GBP, which is about $160 US.

In that case, the best silvertip they have.

Mark :

I have created a thread with your post in another one, since this is a different subject.

What kind of hair are you thinking about for that brush?

Im looking forward to read your ideas or see the prototypes that you already have made for that brush.

Since they will probably sell within ten minutes after they are posted, a picture would be nice.

For the occasion I recommend Simpsons best silvertip badger.

Hi Mark

Have to ask (being an expat that would kill for Queen and Country to get one of those brushes Euro), what are the chances (zero) of the "average" shaving nut getting their soapy hands on one of those brushes?

Take care, Mike

Best or 3 Band super would be good for me.

Colour-wise could I be as bold to suggest a swirly purple brush (a bit like the blue one on the M&F L7 thread but in purple).

Also, would there be an option to purchase this directly from the UK in order to save on postage costs and potential customs charges?

I merged some posts on the other thread into this one, since they were related with this new brush.

And answering to Mark's question: Super badger, either 2- or 3-band.Thumbsup

My vote would be for super. Depending on the dimensions of the knot, I would go for either 3-band or 2-band super.

Super all the way!

Probably a two bander, allthough the three bander is a hit too.
