A good friend of mine have proposed me to spend next week using only two band shaving brushes and write my thoughts about them here.I think I'm going to do it and I would like to know if anybody wants to jump in and join me on this quest. It doesnt matter if you use only one brush , or seven (as Im going to do so) , the important thing is to write our impressions of the brush/es and to have a better understanding of the different grades of two band badger hair brushes.

I think that this will be my set up :

-Monday : WSP superfine badger
-Tuesday : shavemac D01 two band
-Wednesday : New Forest 2201 two band
-Thursday : TGN 2 band on a Grosvenor handle
-Friday : VB 2 band brush
-Saturday : Vie Long two band olive wood handle
-Sunday : Semogue 2 band brush

Who else is going to join me ?

I could do that, if we allow the SOC 2012 SE. It's 2-band + boar.

Otherwise I just have two 2-band brushes, which isn't horrible or anything, but I do like to keep a rotation going. Smile

I might give it a shot. I shave every other day or every other two days, so it may take me two weeks.

I would be glad to join in. My lineup will include my original 2-band LiJun, SOC, Rudy Vey, my own vintage Simpson restore using TGN finest, and a new wood handled FS brush. I will also limit myself to one soap so that the only difference in lathering will be the brush itself.

I'm going to go a bit more pedestrian and use Tabac.

I will be using my mixture of Penhaligon's English Fern & Valobra stick. I will figure out what my lineup is a little later.

Well, I only have two grades of 2 band hair so... I guess I'm out.

I'll have different hairs to experiment with in a few months.... Tongue

Who told you that you are out? It doesnt matter if you have one , two , 3 or more brushes , the important thing is to use them and share your experience with every brush/es in this thread.Wink

* Mano, i only have the WSP Stubbys and a Simpsons Chubby 2 2-band. i won't be able to provide much detail as i have already commented on the Stubby in an earlier thread and the Simpsons 2-band is renowned, already. Biggrin

I have six brushes lined up with a seventh possibly joining the group if it makes it in time. I have decided to use them in order of acquisition as I was struggling to conceive of another way to decide the lineup. First up will be one of my first brushes I ever bought and the second least expensive, the Lijun 22mm finest brush. Here's to a great week of 2-band face lathering, make sure to post up your updates as you join Teiste in this fun experiment.

PS- bonus points for pictures!
