With my last order from Mike's Natural Soaps, I picked up an Orange & Black Pepper Shave Stick.

Basically, everything I said when I reviewed Mike's soaps holds true for the shave stick, except it being a stick. It is worth noting that Mike's is a fairly thirsty soap, so you might want to pick a brush that holds water well for face lathering.

Bottom line? Mike's great soap in a more portable format - how can I not recommend it?

Thanks, Hans. I really need to try out Mike's one of these days. I suppose the long line of soaps in my den prohibits...Blush

I haven't tried them all but I have tried most of the commonly referred to ones excluding MdC and Mike's is one of my favorites. I wish I had ordered more than the one bar. There are very few soaps that I could do with being an "exclusive" because I like variety. Mike's however is one of the few.

I much prefer Mike's over GFT. It's also a more consistent product from scent to scent.

Sampling size of 4 from each.

Do still very much like my GFT rose though. The other ones I gave away to my friend.

I maybe the only one but this soap did not work for me. I tried more water less water etc. a bit disappointed. The scent was nice but feel this one is a bit overrated.

I tried this very scent in sample form a few days ago and all I can say is that it is a Luxury product without the luxury price. I have six samples of different scents and so far I like all six. The Hungarian Lavender is simply fantastic!

One of the best soaps that i have tried!
Hans, you might want to try the Lemongrass & Eucalyptus! Biggrin

* Kurtis, it is really unfortunate that it did not work for you as it truly is a wonderful soap with some very simple ingredients that work very well. Best of luck.

I must get a stick of Mike's and give it a try. I love shaving sticks, but I've only tried the commercially available ones. I also want to try Mystic Waters sticks.
There are a few threads on SN that describe converting pucks into shave sticks - wanna try that too. It should be easy as most of my favorite soaps are relatively soft. I have a stick of Arko that fits very well into some of the round twist up containers you can buy. Super easy to just impale the stick onto the threaded shaft. I will see if the softer pucks will conform to the container - should work fine.
