Hi,
I'm a LONG time wetshaver who enjoys hanging out and swapping ideas with folks who share my interests. I've been a board member elsewhere for several years, and decided to expand my horizons a little.
When I saw the member list at The Shave Nook, I was delighted to recognize so many names - many of whom had sort of disappeared from the big forum I've been a member of.
My claims to fame are limited - It's possible that I own the largest collection of Old Spice paraphernalia in the world, I've been a daily shaver with a Cobra Classic for over two years, and I have an oversized herd (50+) of Simpson's brushes, mostly in Best.
On a personal note, I'm a CPA, but my accounting practice is quite limited because of my involvement in a family-owned manufacturing company. I've been married to the same long-suffering woman (who must have a great sense of humor) for more than 44 years, and I have two adult children, one who is President of the manufacturing company and the other who is a public school kindergarten teacher. I have 4 wonderful grandsons, 3 of whom have their driver's licenses.
I'm an Air Force veteran (4 years during the Vietnam era), and have my MBA.
My wife and I enjoy traveling - the two of us typically take at least one trip out of the country each year for a few weeks, and we try to have an annual adventure with our entire family that involves either a National Park or travel to a foreign country.
Anyhow, I'm looking forward to meeting new folks and renewing some old acquaintances!

Gentlemen (and Ladies, if TSN is so fortunate),
Thanks for the warm welcome!
I've been mostly lurking the past couple of days since discovering TSN - while taking breaks in between preparing tax returns - but there's one difference I've noted at TSN (as compared to the BIG board), and that's the experience level of the TSN members. Not to say that everyone on that other board is a rookie - not by a long shot!; however, the constant cycle of the same entry level questions (i.e.: is a Feather blade better than a Derby?) gets to be a little mind-numbing after a while.
Anyhow, once taxes are more or less behind me, my Immediate Supervisor and I are going off the grid for a few weeks, returning in early May. I look forward to getting much more involved with TSN upon my return.
