Do you guys remember the movie "Tres Amigos" ? (which in Spanish was translated as "3 American nerds , dressed like Mexican , doing weird things and speaking funny"...Rolleyes)

Well , let me tell you that I have 3 amigos now on my bathroom :

and it seems that they are getting along very well :

Im terrible telling stories , I know , but I just wanted to show you my devotion for the Truefitt and Hill 1/1 silvertip brushes , and also the new one , courtesy of member "mcgils"

Yeah , I do feel weakness for these kind of brushes , and I hope to add the imitation hor handle any of these days.

This brush has a 22 mm knot and a loft around 47 mm , very densely packed with silvertip hair.I havent tried it yet , Im on my 2 band brushes week , so it will have to wait.

Anyway , here is the brush :

As I said , I hope that some of these days will be the "4 amigos" instead of the 3...

Not only are those three gorgeous brushes, but you are quite the photographer. I was just playing with some editing software and looking at the extreme close-ups of the badger hair closest to the knot. You've shown that beautifully here.

Really neat stuff. Thanks.

Those are great looking brushes. I'll look forward to seeing a picture once you get the brush with a faux horn handle.

Wonderful photos Teiste! I also love the 1/1. I just got a T&H model in ebony from Josh. I put it next to my M&F 1/1 in Blonde Badger two band (white handle). They are both great, but the M&F is a VERY small brush due to the compact two band knot. The silvertip hair makes the 1/1 T&H brushes feel much larger (and perfect for my preferences). Seeing your photo I may have to go back to the T&H site and see what is left. Cool

Excellent face lathering brushes.

... Laughing1 ... you crack me up, Teiste! When I read this last evening, I was already in bed ... my wife looked over and said "What the he&* is so da*& funny!??!".

Beautiful trio of brushes by the way!

I had just told celestino recently that I am taking a sabbatical from further brush acquisitions. These posts make it very difficult for me to stay on course!

Hi Teiste

A beautiful brush indeed Thumbsup

Good luck with tracking down a Horn handled one.

I recently bought the exact same brush from Truefitt & Hill USA, Style 1 Size Small Silvertip Badger - imitation Ivory Horn. I'm still gutted I waited too long to pull the trigger on the now sold out "Medium" size...

Take care, Mike

So now you have the TOBS and the T&H with the same size and same handle color ! I wonder if there is any difference between the "super badger" hair of the TOBS brush and the "silvertip" hair of the T&H...Let me guess , no , theyre the same.Wink

Hi Teiste

Yep! now I'm just one away from I'm my quaternity collection of fine (London) gentlemen pharmacy shaving brushes. I'll be posting photos, etc once I have my DR Harris H3 back in my possession (please note I'm in no rush to have it back).

I (a muppet) can't tell any difference between the Taylor of Old Bond Street "Super Badger" hair and the Truefitt & Hill "Silvertip Badger" hair. Visually they look identical to the human eye and the tips of the hairs also feel identical to the touch. I believe it would be fair to say the Truefitt & Hill knot contains more hair.

Take care, Mike
