Hey all,

I'm heading up to Denver for the first time in the morning. Three friends/colleagues and I are going to to be part of an anthropology conference in which I will be presenting a paper from a project we worked on last year.

While a majority of our time will likely be spent at the conference and the natural history museum, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for neat places to potentially stop by or favorite places to eat!

Thanks!

Thank you Freddy! This is my first professional level conference, so I all sorts of nervous and excited.

I've been to Denver once but I was too young to remember much. Godspeed regarding the conference. It must be quite an honor to be presenting at that level. Thumbup

Well, unfortunately due to a massive (to me) blizzard I really only got to see my hotel, conference building, and museum of nature and science (which was incredible!!!). The conference went extremely well and I may just become published as an undergrad, which should really help getting into grad school.

I added a pic of the view from the hotel bar during and after the blizzard hit cause I thought it was neat.

Anthony, I'm so glad for your success at the conference. The snow just means that you will have to return to Denver under better conditions and tell us all about that city. Biggrin

I certainly hope to one day soon. There were so many beautiful houses so close to downtown, I'd bet its a great place to live.

Sorry I totally missed this thread. Judging by the snow you wouldn't have been able to visit any of the decent eateries.

In all seriousness you didn't miss much. I live 20 minutes outside of Denver and rarely go. It's about as average a city as you can find, I actually call it a "Cow Town".

Glad the conference went well for you.

Also how was Hotel VQ?
