Anyone ever try Provence Santé Verlaine EDC?

My wife asked to smell as my aftershaves today. I have about a dozen. I like all of them: Floid, DR Harris, Irish Moos, Spanish Leather, 4711, among others . . . . Some more than others, but each has its own worth. Way in the back was the bottle of Porvence Santé. I remember buying it—it was very inexpensive. I remember trying it and not liking it.

I sprayed a bit on my forearm and let have a smell.

Her reply? "Ewww!"

And I must say I agree. It is a heavy, cloying citrus scent. It smells like concentrated, lemon-scented furniture polish. I mean, really terrible—utterly repellent.

Anyone else here ever try it? Am I missing something?

That's pretty odd, as I don't find the soap particularly citrusy at all.

Didn't care for it myself but I'll have to dig for it and see if I still feel that way. With so many other choices, I might have used mine twice and then moved on.

The green tea is fantastic though.
