I'm sitting at my sink shaving this morning having lathered up with the MUCH REVILED ARKO Shave Stick(my second time using)when my 6 year old daughter, who is on our bed in the master bedroom pipes up and say "oooooooo daddy you smell GOOD!". I reply "baby I'm still shaving". "You smell so clean" she says. She comes in and sniffs the stick and then my face,, smiles and says "you smell good MY DADDY!" and gives me a great big hug. I'm kinda ambivalent about the smell of Arko but I love the lather. And I love the reaction my 6 year old has to it. Looks like I'll keep a stick of Arko around from now on.

Great story, thanks for sharing. Cool I don't find the scent to be unbearable, I just don't like it.

That's awesome. Mine insist on "shaving with Daddy", she's getting pretty good at creating lather!

Maybe you should take your daughter to see a doctor, something is obviously wrong with her sense of smell Biggrin

I'm joking of course (about the doctor, arko still stinks). Thanks for sharing!

what a lovely story Smile but i really find the smell unbearable but fascinating - in the same way as taking a deep sniff inside well worn shoes Biggrin

Biggrin It looks like ARKO is the new Williams. Except I haven't heard anyone claim it won't lather.

Neat story OP!

Great story. To me ARKO smells like the bar of Ivory soap my mother use to bath us with. And when done it is refreshing.

Ha! Children have the gift of being brutally honest!
Keep your ARKO and your daughter close to you ... both are sweet to you! Smile

There is a reason the man on the Arko stick package is smiling!

Every time my daughter encounters me shaving she complains that she prefers my stubble. That said she has already chosen my gold Gillette Aristocrat and a Limited Edition candy swirl Rooney in 3 band Super as her equipment when she starts shaving her legs (she is only 7, so that won't be happening for a few years!)

Thanks for sharing!

She loves watching me shave and picking out what aftershave /cologne I put on. Pure honesty and love. I expected to enjoy my new hobby but I never expected it to bring me and my girls closer. Another benefit of WETSHAVING.

Even the young girls appreciate a clean shaven, sweet smelling man. Especially the daughters and granddaughters.

That's adorable.

My 20 month old daughter has become fascinated with me shaving. When I come out of the bathroom and she sees me, she drags one finger down her cheek and says, "Daddy, face?"

Plus she wants to run rampant with my brushes. Tongue
