So I received this brush today after purchasing it Thursday from WCS. Any tips on how to break it in or should I just use the ole' lather it up, shave with it and repeat method?

Soak it no further than half way up the bristles, it looses backbone if soaked all the way up (and is also bad for wooden handles when you have one). Lather and use, the boar hair will start to split and then its perfect. Great brush and handle love mine

Yup, just start using it. Best way to appreciate the whole process. Good luck.

if it feels uncomfortable to you, you can just do a palm lather with it each day until it starts breaking in.

The soon to be patented Teiste boar break in method, there's even a video if you need it!

All of the above is good advise. When you are through, rinse it out good and give it a good shake, then lightly run the tips over a towel about ten or twelve time. Let it dry completely before using again. Generally 24 hours.
