This is an older Shavemac shaving brush I bought in 2008. It's a larger one with a total height of about 130 mm. I asked for a base to have a higher (and more masculine) handle. Normally the socle of a shaving brush like this is made of chrome-plated brass. To avoid the heavy weight this one is hand-made out of high polished aluminium. During the years there are some fine scratches which I didn't remove - a sign of age. Shavemac's standard silvertip is imho perfect for a larger, super-soft bulb shape (about 28 mm diameter, 58 mm loft).

Oh - I use shaving brushes only for face lathering.
WoW - amazing you prefer such tall handles then
I would say most prefer these type of tall handles for the bowl.
