Hello fellow M&F fans Smile

Just after 2 tries got a nice reply from Lee.

He has been very very busy, but I was fortunate enough to be able to get his wonderful custom service on two new brushes I think I'm missing in my little growing brush collection.

Pics will come as soon as Lee has made them and shipped them to me Hello

I paypalled him yesterday, for a custom order for 2 very nice three band Silvertip M&F brushes with short loft and custom shaped knots.

Brush 1
Hair type 3-Band Silvertip
Knot size: 25 mm BULB
Loft: 46 mm
Handle: Tortoise shell imitation 46 mm tall

Brush 2
Hair type 3-Band Silvertip
Knot size: 25 mm FAN
Loft: 42 mm
Handle: Bruyers wood imitation 46 mm tall

Really thought I needed some 3-Band M&F brushes to full fill my small M&F face lather collection - Tortoise shell and imitation Bruyers wood handles just look so classy IMHO Cool

As said will post some pics here once I get them BadgerBowBadger:yho:2vikoro

I hope they will perform as well as his 2-Band Blonde badgers Smile

You're right Elbe Smile
I own 6-7 of Lee's M&F 2-Band Blonde Badgers and thought, since Lee is/has been involved with Rooney, that once I had the funds for two M&F's (and got through to Lee) I would order two in 3-Band Silvertip - and if they are anything like the 4 Rooneys I own in 3-Band Silvertip they need a lowwwww loft to perform and live up to my expectations of M&F high quality brushes.

I sold my Rooney 3/1 in faux ivory swirl 3-Band 26 mm knot and 54 mm loft because it was downright floppy as a soft Thäter Fan 2-Bander, and while I do enjoy soft tips, I dislike a soft mop of a brush - I need backbone and firm feel in my brushes, but preferably with soft tips Biggrin

I went for extreme low 42 mm loft in the fan shaped 25 mm 3-Band, and 46 mm loft in the bulb shaped to get less firm feel in the bulb knot, which already is firm given its shape.

I own a couple of Shavmac Expert Selection custom in D01 3-Band in pretty much the same specs, and they perform pretty amazing.

I consider Bernd and Lee Sabini along with a few other distinguished Gentlemen to be the best in the business, especially when it comes to custom made brushes.
