I like the C. O. Bigelow "Elixir" series, particularly Blue, White and Black.

I'm still using an old B&BW spray called <Something> Frost.

And I'm quite fond of the Floids, too.

Of the well known brands, thus far it's a toss up between Old Spice and Blue Stratos. Old Spice would win if I had a ready supply of the vintage Shulton otherwise I may just plump for the Blue Stratos which, incidentally, is now made in England by Parfums Bleu. Good on the skin too.

Just got a few testers of the Pinaud line and so far I quite like the Original and the Vanilla but not the Lime Sec which is sickly, cloying and more akin to lemon detergent.

Some of Professor Blighty's UK made scents are great. English Pear is a favourite of mine and although not feminine in any way, it is an unusual fragrance for a fella to wear. His ASB is pretty darn good too.

However, the Daddy of them all is Barbershop Bay Rum made by Sunburyboy (Steve) on TSR. Dark rum with genuine pimento racemosa leaves, cloves, orange zest, allspice berries and cinnamon sticks is left to brew for six weeks with regular shaking and the result is the most fabulous, intoxicating scent plus the best skincare of any aftershave I ever experienced. I don't really like cloves but they add something to this excellent brew and no doubt their soothing properties aid the feel good factor. At first, I was unmoved by the stuff but it has grown into the most essential staple of my shaving kit.

I love the current Old Spice and Brut. I never tried the vintage/Shulton Old Spice.

Part of me in embarrassed to say that but it feels good to have it out in the open.

Haha, I know what you mean but they're darn fine products regardless of the musty old image a selection of modern trend setters attach to them. Do their job well and smell great which is why they're still made. My wife loves Old Spice but was embarrassed when she found out what it was. Biggrin

I'm not a scent guy, but I do like the stuff I bought from SCS. Dagger is what I'm using until it wears out. Then I'll switch to Creed. I know, huge jump.

Tough call as that ship sailed long ago. If forced, I'd say it's this:

I've only tried the Black from COB and I think it's a great scent.

When it comes to cologne, I consider anything under $45 as cheap.

I rarely pay retail and get testers when possible, same juice but no fancy box. My 3.4oz Guerlain EdT tester was only $39.75 shipping included.

C. O. Bigelow in the green bottle, Stephens Bay Rum or Pinaud Citrus Musk. I also got a sample of Caron Pour Un Homme that I like but it's vanilla base might be too sweet as it's getting warmer.
