Customer dinged the edge very badly, sent it in for me to repair. Got about 3/4 of the chip gone, decided it wasn't worth my time to do anymore work on it and just sent him a new one instead.

Yours for the low, low cost of S&H, $5.15 plus paypal fees.

Good for doing MyCarver or Seraphim like GD transformation or horrible Frankenstein like experiments. Or I suppose you could put the time in it and get it to shave ready too.

Because I don't want to spend the time. The customer damaged it pretty badly.

I have trouble getting my sideburns even and straight with a DE, and I was thinking of having a cheap 4/8 straight razor just for that task. Do you think this can serve for that task if I put some effort on in?

A straight razor, yes. This straight razor is not for beginners. It requires some very serious work to get back to shave ready. It's best for someone to practice their dremel skills on.
