Im a Edwin Jagger/Muhle classic razor lover,I admit it.For me,they are the best razors out there, with the better style and always, well finish.

This is a razor I have been using for the last month and a half with great success. It has one of the most comfortable handles to hold and also a brilliant design.

This razor has a ivory imitation handle, thick and kind of heavy, and it has the 2011 close comb head, which gives me some of the best shaves of all the razors I have tried so far.

According to the Edwin Jagger site,http://www.theenglishshavingcompany.com/cgi-bin/psProdDet.cgi/R356SR||@cTraditional%20safety%20&%20double%20edge%20razors@bEdwin%20Jagger|0|user||24|,this razor weights 90 grams, but according to my electronic scale, its weight is 86 grams. Its not that much difference, since this is a sturdy razor and its balance its perfect for me,since the weight its almost 70% on the head, which allows me not to put a lot of pressure on it while Im shaving.

As I said before, this is a really beautiful razor,a little bit more gorgeous than the D.R. Harris (Edwin Jagger) Chastworth ivory handle imitation that I also own.

Here is a pic with the Edwin Jagger DE87 and the D.R. Harris (EJ) Chastworth razors. As you can see,the Chastworth is slightly longer than this one,but the R357RS is much heavier too :

I cant get enough Edwin Jagger/Muhle razors!Biggrin

Hi Teiste

Is the (new) 2011 head design much different from the previous head design?

Take care, Mike

Not really.I have an old 2009 Edwin Jagger with that head design and I cant find that many differences.Maybe the new head is a little bit more aggressive, but not much more.

Hi Teiste

Thank you Smile

That's good to know, a little more aggression over the previous head design wouldn't be a bad thing in my book (though I do like my DE89L very much).

Take care, Mike

Beautiful razors. I have the DE87 and they are a pleasure to shave with.
