Started DE shaving 3 months ago with the EJ 89 which is fine. Thinking about trying the slant as a second razor, not to replace the EJ, but to try something different. Wil the shaving angle and technique be so different that it will be hard to rotate between the two?

First off thanks for joining our forum. A slant razor is used exactly like any other razor which includes your EJ. Don't change a thing and you should be all right.

A 37C would be a nice choice for a second razor. A few others that come to mind would be a Weber or a Merkur 34C.

So, the shaving angle and technique are comparable with the EJ and the 37c slant? Same with the 39 c?

Not much of a difference with angle and technique, but they do shave differently. At least for me.
Good luck.

They shave a little differently, but employ the same technique to do it. The slant has a misplaced reputation that usually scares people away. Although, perhaps not as forgiving as your EJ, it's certainly nothing to be afraid of...

The 37C may become your favorite go-to razor, while the DE89 (good as it is) gathers dust.
