Well I am the worst Dad ever.

Our son, 6, came in to his bedroom waiting for me to put him it bed and he was crying asking me "Daddy, did you get rid of that colourful brush?" My heart sank, I had no idea he was that attached to my Moonjava M&F, but I guess he liked looking at it and talked about it often to my wife when he talked about me shaving.

I am looking to acquire a colourful Moonjava type brush for his enjoyment (and mine), but can't buy one as I'm in a Shave Sabbatical for 2013, but I can trade. If I was being specific I'd look for a 24-25mm knot but will consider any offers. I know RV, M&F and Rooney have had them (I've actually had 2 M&F's). Simpson has the Disco Haze but it's sold out. Not sure if there are any other makers.

If you have one you are not using or want to trade it, please let me know.

As you can see, I'm not messing around and for the right brush, I have a few high end items to offer as trade:

Gillette British Gold Rocket:

Shavemac #25 Silvertip 26mm:

Overall Height: 110.71 mm
Handle Height: 53.29 mm
Knot Loft: 57.40 mm
Knot Diameter: 28.03 mm

Gillette Bulldog (Canada) #BD223866:
Weight: 63.3 g

Gillette Aristocrat Jr (cased):

Weight: 71.1 g

BRW Gillete New Long Comb Head Only (NO handle)
MdC Scented 170g Glass Jar, New and unused

Thanks for listening.

The majority of the objects you're offering are worth a lot more than the brush that you want. I would have noted this in a pm but you're not receiving them.

it's not the $70 T&H Best Moonjava I'm looking for, I'd like a Silvertip, Heritage, Blonde or Super knot.

sorry about the PM's, not sure what's wrong but appears to be working now.

Ideally, I'd like to move the Shavemac, which is a $140 brush (when new) or Gold Rocket etc for a similar valued brush, but maybe in a 24mm knot. Took out the Red Ring for now, but feel the other items are not over valued for a brush trade.

I know it's a long shot, but I have to try.

Good luck with your search... You've inspired me to get confirmation from my daughter of what can and can't be removed from my collection. I was surprised at what she told me. And it made for a fun half hour of playing with her and all the shave kit.

lol.. Great Story! I hope you find that MoonJava Brush...My 6-yo son came in and said very matter of factly - "Daddy, you NEED to shave with the wooden one more...The hairs need love so they aren't mad anymore!" We was talking about my Semogue boar, which is not broken in yet. I said during the shave that morning that it was mad at me for not using it enough...kids hear everything!

Good luck on your quest!

the initial crisis has been averted. he has taken a shining to my Rubberst Butterscotch/Blk restore.

I'm still on the hunt for one, but at least we don't have any more tears. He'll be shaving with the Butterscotch Restore tonight.

I'll keep my WTT up until I find or give up my search.
