Hey,

each time I try to open this thread, the entire shavenook website freezes up, and I have to close the entire browser and avoid opening the thread.

What can cause this ?

I suspect the size of the photos in the thread causes it - but I'm on a speedy connection so can't figure it out.....

I have now tried opening it 25 times, 20/25 times, the site freezes completely and I have to close my browser.
I have been all over the net on other sites, and only experience the problem with this particular thread.

Easy solution: Skip the thread Tongue

But I wonder why I can't open the thread without it freezes.....

Anyone else having this problem ?

Really weird Huh

Just tried it again - now it won't even open the page - just look at a 'beach ball'/waiting icon......

Will avoid that thread altogether.....I still suspect the huge photos is causing this.....but don't know for sure.....

I can watch HD movies on Youtube and netflix without any lag, but this particulat thread causes my browser to freeze.....

Huh Huh Huh

it could be a javascript issue in your browser and javascript is used to resize the photos.

Hmmm ... no problems here, Claus.

Perhaps your computer is exhibiting signs of 'Simpsons rejection'! Tongue

Yes indeed! I think we were typing at the same time ... with essentially the same thought in mind ... Laughing1

Sorry, Claus ... just a little Sunday humor here ... no offense intended!

No problem, guys Tongue

Actually I work constantly this week, so it's the computer at work - I have not used my own computer since last week....

Just funny I can open all other kinds of websites, but his particular thread freezes it.....

I use Google Chrome browser FYI

The fun thing is th thread German posted with smaller resized pics I can open in 1 second.
Just checked the download and upload speed I get - 28 down and 4 up - should be plenty enough speed for a little brush thread with pics Tongue

Send the OP a PM and ask if he would edit his original post and use smaller images.

Incredible - now it loads in 1 second.
It was the HUGE photos that caused the problem.

Just tested the connection again - I get 12 mbit down and 2.6 mbit up, so not exactly a fast connection (lot of hotel users are probaby online now) - but still can't get why the thread would not load at all.

With the resizing of the pics, it loads immediately !

Thanks Smile
