Yesterday was Hug a Medievalist day, which got me thinking about grad school, where my plan was to study medieval literature. I decided to get out my old copy of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Thumbing through it, I found this reference to shaving I don't remember noticing the first time I read it.

That was before my shaving enlightenment of course; I probably napped my way through it.

You had me right up to Kynge Gyllette.

Brilliantly done. Best April Fool's yet. Literate, clever, slightly evil.

Next up, shaving done Faulkner style.

Translation please?

I got that he's got a really sharp razor, as sharp as a feather, and that he has a boar brush that's really soft. And he now smells good. He's also got some "wool fat"?
