This is my new Shavemac Opus Summum No.1 with a dense twoband D01 knot.

The handle based on the Shavemac 167. Color is green onyx. It's different from contemporary faux onyx, a kind of vintage onyx with true retro look. Knot size is 25 mm (measured value 26,5 mm) in fan shape with 48 mm loft high. Total high is about 97 mm. The shown bush is used about ten times.

Wow! Stunning! That 2-band not looks like much whiter tips that a lot of the D01 2-bands i've seen. Love the coloring of the handle.

are the pics a true representation of the brightness of the green in regular shave den settings?

if so, that may be one I look to add for my next Shavemac material. I love it's brightness, very retro-green.

Als always one picture is worth ten thousand words... Today the weather was fine so I took the Opus Summum No.1 and by way of comparison a well done Rodney Neep Custom with modern faux onyx outside in direct sunlight.

Both pictures are non-edited, only cropped and scaled-down.

Thanks for posting the follow up pics...much appreciated.

That truly does show how much brighter and vibrant the colour is in the Shavemac and what I was hoping for. Biggrin

I have the identical handle shape, in a custom blue swirl (not the 1/2 and 1/2 that most have) with a D01 3 band. and love it.

Loving that Green Onyx!

Lots of guys out there favour the traditional faux Ivory handles & I must admit, I probably fell into that camp.

Now tho' ... whoa ... some of these new coloured offerings are seriously twisting my emotions.

Great stuff from Shavemac ...

Damn those bloody efficient Germans!!! ;-)
