Now that I feel I own pretty much all the best and most expensive shaving crams you can get, I have ventured into the cheaper creams and have been testing and trying them out to explore this new field of cheaper great value creams.

Would be fine with a list of your own personal favorite shaving creams, than can be bought at retail price for less than what you pay for a tub of TOBS cream or a tube of Musgo Real.

My personal Top 10 cheapie creams goes like this at the moment:

1. La Toya Sensitive/Regular
2. Proraso Green/Red/Blue
3. Super-Max Ultimate
4. Real Shaving Company Sensitive skin/Moisturizing
5. Lavanda
6. Veleiro
7. Top Secret
8. Speick (if I liked the scent like the Speick AS Splash, this would be ranked higher)
9. Cella
10. Palmolive Classic/Nivea Mild (they are tied for 10.th spot)

Let me hear your favorite cheapie shaving creams Smile

I tried Barbon for the first time last week and it is an excellent performing cream with a nice scent for Spring. It is listed as a mentholated cream, which I don't appreciate, but there was no cooling sensation detected. The aftershave is very nice as well, matching the scent of the cream with a nice menthol kick (which I do appreciate in an a/s).

Others worth mentioning that I have tried: Proraso Red, Habana, and RazoRock S.Maria probably falls in this category as well.

I DON'T care for: Proraso Green, Arko, Gibbs, or Tabac (cream).

The soaps never arrived and I had to ask for a refund.
I take this as a sure sign: Soaps are not for me and will never be Tongue

I get plenty of good lather from many creams.
I don't like the thought of soap, I don't like the extra dryness it gives me, I don't like the mess it makes when loading the brush and it lasts too darn long time compared to a cream Tongue

I'm a cream kind of guy, soaps are for the shower, not the shave Wink

+1 with what celestino just said! Biggrin

Mike's Natural Soaps offer superb quality product at a 'cheapie' price relatively speaking ... one does not need to sacrifice the quality of their shave in order to pay less!

Soaps are for the shower and the shave! Tongue

I'm going to go with Tabac SC, you can usually pick it up for under $5 on sale and I'm not sure I've used a better shaving product for me personally.

Key Lime Kiss My Face shaving cream might just go to the top of your overall list, at any price. (Yes, specifically Key Lime. It has something extremely special about it.)

Also, if feel Mikes Natural Soap is just too good to be eliminated just because it's a soap. He sells generous samples.[/code]

I would definitely include TOBS, they are a good value for a large tub of cream.

Proraso Red
Palmolive Menthol
Speick

Those three are excellent. I don't have any other creams I'd say are cheap. Musgo Real isn't pricey, and it's good.

The others I have are more expensive, and also quite good, but not hugely better shavers than those three I listed.
