I stopped at a local store last evening (Tinderbox) and theyre carrying the new Omega shaving soap. The labeling and the circular box have change a little bit,as well as its ingredients.
I just noticed how short was the list of ingredients, with no SLE/SLS,parabens,boric acid and so on that the old version (as the Proraso shaving soap) used to have (both identical).
No,this new soap has fewer ingredients and its not formulated (same ingredients) than the actual new Proraso shaving soap.

Well, the new Omega formulation looks more than a RazoRock veggie based shaving soap formulation, with around 10 ingredients and no "Sodium Lauoryl Sarconisate" as the new Proraso does.

Sorry that I couldn't take a pic of it but I wonder now if Omega is made by a different retailer (not Ludovico Martelli anymore) and has different formulation both in the cream and the soap as the new Proraso line.

I wonder who that new maker is. Perhaps Biochimica spa, the ones that make RazoRock/Figaro/Fitness/Bottega Verde?

I read somewhere on some forum where Proraso was no longer making Omega soaps and creams. But for the life of me I can't remember where it was. Probably over on B&B.

??? with all the changes, does that mean that both soaps have a much less risk to cause cancer?

I was under the understanding that it would take many large amounts of ingestion into the body for it to be any type of moderate risk under the old formulae

Huh

They (and other companies) take out the SLS, parabens and boric acid simply because that is good a marketing strategy, just that.

I was just at the Tinderbox the other day. I noticed that the new Omega also has the plastic seal covering the soap. No more smelling.

Whose to say they don't make Proraso ? Anything by Ludovico Martelli (Marvis, Proraso etc) used to say distributed by.

Nope I missed that. But I did see the DR Harris shaving sticks. The new Omega is easy to spot with the new shaped tub.
