I never thought I would say something like this, but I find myself really appreciating "good" lavender scents. Right now from a soap perspective I have Scottish Fine Male Grooming, as well as MdC (yes, lavender is in there, you've just got to smell it). From a cologne / AS side, I have aken a shine to Yardley English Lavender (probably my least favorite), Scottish Fine, Lavanda AS, Herbs of Bulgaria (I like the scent but it fades so quickly) and Alt Innsbruck is my favorite.

I have been debating getting CF Lavender as I find their Limes to be the best of all the lime scents.

So who here uses Lavender soaps / creams / scents and what do you like? I ask because I am always looking for suggestions.

I have only recently become an aficionado of lavender as well ... thanks to Dr Dulcamara's influence (Juan)!

My favorite thus far is ... Mike's Hungarian Lavender. Biggrin

I'll be honest, I never expected I would find "manly" smelling lavender. But it does exist out there.

Man ..... Mikes huh? I may have to give that a try. It's certainly cheap enough.

I am a huge fan of lavender and some of the soaps/creams that really work for me:

- Jabonman Lavender Bergamot Cypress
- Tabula Rasa Dark Lavender - Earthly lavender - probably favorite scent.
- MdC

Well, I never thought I'd like lavender either, but MdC after it's aged for awhile the rosemary retreats and the lavender comes to the fore. It's quite nice. And the unscented definitely is lavender.

That's it for me and lavender.

The only lavender product I have is Trumpers Lavender Soap. It smells wonderful but fades quickly after lathering. Like you gents I didn't think lavender was very manly prior to experiencing it in shaving products, but I quite like it.

I like the mild lavender of Harris soap and love the medium lavender of Mike's Hungarian Lavender. I didn't like the strong, sharp lavender of CF. I found the scent too harsh. For a bath soap I like the South of France Relaxing Lavender. Like Mike's, it smells wonderful while you're lathering it up and doesn't hang around after you rinse it off.

MdC Scented, CF Lavender and AOS Lavender Cream are all ones I have used and enjoyed.

I like MdC best as do all the ladies who took a sniff test of a jar at work.

The CF is quite strong and not as raw as MdC and has a bit of "old man/lady smell", but that's probably in my head.

I hear Mikes and MW are both great as well, but I have yet to try them.

Of those I have tried, for scent I enjoy D.R. Harris lavender soap, Mike's Hungarian lavender, and MdC Scented. For edt I use Caron Pour Un Homme (edt and aftershave). Personally have TOBS lavender water, and next may get D.R. Harris lavender water. Many lavenders out there to explore!

I'm a fan of essential oil lavender scents like AoS and CF. MdC is quite nice also. MW Wild Lavender has some mint in it that's interesting.

I enjoy Mike's and DR Harris Lavender...although the Harris is tricky, seems some folks receive weak, almost scentless pucks and others receive potent ones.
Even after 6 months mine is still fairly potent in the container and moderate while lathering. I keep it in a sealed glass bowl, so that may be why it stays strong.

Castle Forbes Lavender is a fine shave cream. If you like lavender, this has a very strong scent. I enjoy shaving with it.

Mike's Hungarian Lavender reminds me quite a bit of the lavender in MdC. Once you smell Mike's I think you'll agree.

My all time favorite was the no longer available Coates Lavender. My current favorite is Truefitt & Hill Lavender, which has a scent fairly close to Coates. I just ordered some of Mike's Hungarian Lavender and I'm looking forward to finally trying his soaps.

I really like Mystic Water Wild Lavender. It has a spicy sort of lavender that appeals to me. The lavender/lime is another excellent product.

Speick is another in that camp, though not quite as nice, and with some other notes in there.

RazoRock King Louis Lavender is an excellent soap, and I like the scent a lot. However, it's a scent I would describe as "softer" and maybe "powdery." I'd say the Mystic is the more masculine interpretation.
