If I'm correct, Pre de Provence isn't sold in France or even Europe.
+1 on all the other soaps though.

Pre de Provence

Product of France

Distributed by:

European Soaps LLC Seattle, WA USA

Les Olivers Moustiers Ainte-Marie France

"Made in rural France by a small family owned company where fine soap making has been a source of personal and indeed national pride for generations. These splendid products will cause addiction! Simple packages contain magnificent surprises for your bathing pleasures!"

http://www.thesoapopera.com/cgi-bin/scart.cgi/PRE.php3

"Pré de Provence soaps are produced in a small factory in the south of France with the finest ingredients and no animal testing. While Pré de Provence makes many products that are based on aromatherapy, the vast majority are truly aromachology products designed to bring you pleasant experiences and memories."

I know its made in France but as far as i know it isn't sold there. I haven't seen it anywhere in European webshops, only in US based websites. If someone can point me to a European based shop i'd be happy as I like this soap a lot!

Ben's list is pretty complete.

I would add Gillette Silver Blue DE blades, while not made in France, are generally available throughout the country.

Don't know about France, but glad to find out about this place. It's just a two hour drive south of me.

Also check out Guerlain's exclusive L'Instant Pour Homme Eau de Extreme. It's an amazing scent and not sold in the US

Travelling to the Provence does not mean, that in every small rural shop you'll find a selection of Plisson brushes, Joris razors, Martin de Candre or Institut Karité soap!

I wouldn't spend my time chasing for shaving gear. For that we have Web shops! If you find an interesting shop, take a look. Otherwise enjoy the trip to southern France.

Forget Pre de Provence or Provence Santé, they are almost impossible to find in France (or even Europe!). They are targeted mainly (read 99,999%) for the USA market.
The same goes for ê-Shave products - I have several friends living in France and they all say the same.

However, Provence Santé sells in Europe, but almost exclusively through their website, not in brick-and mortar shops.

Add OSMA and Le Comptoir des Savonniers shaving soaps to that list - if you were able to find them...

Get some Gillette Bleue Extra blades, they are widely available nearly everywhere. The same goes for Palmolive creams and Monsavon soaps.

At the "Carrefour" supermarkets (and a lot of other supermarkets), you may be able to find:

Gillette Bleues extra blades (between 1,5 and 2 euros),
Carrefour blades (made by Personna, around 1,3 euros),
Monsavon soap (around 1,5 euro),
Maison du Barbier brush (made by Plisson, around 20 euros),
Maison du Barbier soap (in a ceramic bowl for 10 euros),
Maison du Barbier cream (around 5 euros),
Williams and Palmolive creams (around 2 euros).
