So I finally got it - the Mergress Long Handled version.

For a Merkur the finish on it is great, for the rest of my razors, it's sub par Tongue

Nice work.......look forward to testing it:

Congratulations Claus, I have the Megress and the Mergress XL and love both!
(Although the XL is definitely my favourite!)

Very nice, Claus.

I am thinking of pulling the trigger on the Feather AS-D2S.

Hello Claus, I too have a Mergress. But I choose the XL version, this is one of my ToGo razors..... pair it with a Voskhod or a Polsilver for an Excellent shave.

Would be curious to hear your review when you get to using it.
Debating between the long & XL(appeals a little more in terms of eye candy)

The XL version is easily my favourite too. I sold my Progress, but I've retained my standard Mergress to keep the XL company. Polsilver or SI are my blade of choice (with any razor).

My Mergress XL has recently become my favorite razor, replacing my Joris/Fatip and Cobra razors. I set it at 4.5 and get an excellent, close and comfortable shave every time (with a Feather blade).

Your razor looks great. How's the shave? I have a Merkur
23C open comb, but not really liking it. Bought a cheap DE
at Sally's beauty supply called Factory razor(TTO)used w/Feather and O.C Bigalow..VERY close shave and better than my Merkur...Cant believe it.[/b]

Certain people complained over I posted the same post about my new brushes in the brush sub forum, the haul forum and in the M&F thread.
Two of the posts were therefore taken down, and now you can only find me showcasing them in the dedicated M&F brush thread.

Here is a direct link to pics of the two M&F brushes:

Beauty razor . I have the exact same. Not one bad thing to say about this razor. I think if I had to pick just one razor for the rest of my life...this one would be it. Many happy shaves ...enjoy !
