The larger bowl is perfect for lathering. I bought it at a little potter in a small town about an hour north of St. Louis. It was a mistake, and I was able to pick it up for less than $15.

It was pretty easy, and I got compliments from SWMBO for my ingenuity (couldn't tell her at that point that I had seen it online). If I do it again, however, I will make it shorter. This one is a bit higher than I would like.

A cheap and easy brush holder idea is Doll stands from Joanne's, Hobby Lobby, etc. They even make different sizes for each of your brushes.
