...she even asked me, I've never actually mentioned it to her to try because I don't like interfering with her routine...

I got out my ever-ready 100T brush that was reknotted with a TGN knot and pumped some KMF lavender onto the brush and showed her how to apply the lather with the brush.

I think she liked it. I guess time will tell and we'll see if she becomes a repeat user or not. if so, that'll justify me in buying more goodies..right? Smile

I talked my wife into trying my 30mm whipped dog silvertip with TOBS lavender and she seemed to enjoy it, but I think it was more hassle than she would deal with on her own. She does use the brushless Trader Joe's cream I bought for her along with a Schick Lady's Eversharp so I guess that is a step in the right direction.

The good news is that legs are less sensitive than faces, so it's harder for women to feel the difference between the really expensive silvertip v. good boar. Biggrin

I'd say just by trying them she has given you implied permission to get more things.

I like you're thinking.

it's been a while since I've bought any shaving related items, so I'm due for a few new things.

That is great. Now you have a great excuse to have Rudy make a few "classy" brushes for her to chose from. You can keep the one's she doesn't pick!!Wink

Thanks for the tip about the rod. Nice looking stuff at this site. Unfortunately I'm completely unskilled on anything related to handwork, I would probably destroy all the rods Biggrin
It is nice to see it is possible to build your own brush. Maybe one day...
I think the most I could attempt is to re-knot/knot a brush.

I've got my girl lathering with a brush and soap. I found a VdH product for Ladies at CVS. I just yesterday ordered her her very own brush. An Omega 10098 Professional. It has a huge 27mm knot. My thinking is since they have a bigger surface area to shave and the legs aren't as close as our face a bigger brush would work better for her. I also used the opportunity to order myself a new Semogue 630..... See how that works Andrew... lol Now I have her ready to check some new soaps after her brush arrives and she gets used to it...Some rose scented soap for her. Some MWF for me... The opportunities are endless!!!!

I purchased my wife a NOS gold 1948 Gillette Aristocrat and a limited edition Rooney 3 band Super 3/2 in candy pink swirl...

She never used them, but my daughter has claimed them for herself (despite being a good while from shaving, so in the interim they are safely packed away).

I've made the suggestion to my wife... try a brush and one of the razors but she isn't interested.

She is using a bic disposable that is about six months old. I can't figure out why she isn't all nicked up. Her legs are as incredible as always and nick-free.
