The general consensus seems to indicate that the current Muhle offerings are the best of the synthetics on the market ...

The synthetic knots from TGN are comparable to the Muhle version 1. For the price they are a very good value.

I have a few current TGN syn' knots and I like them. I just sold a Muhle v2 syn' and that was quite good, but different than the TGN knot. To say one is "better" than the other... well, what is the criteria? The TGN knot is good, but it isn't badger, it's different. IMO, so is the Muhle. They're both keepers, and both are different from each other and from natural source brushes as well.

Kent is getting some buzz, but needs more review and Muhle is excellent. I'll have a Kent to review next week, and I am looking forward to Simpsons.

The Muhle synthetic might be the best one. However, for the price, i still prefer the Frank Shaving as you can customize the knot and it is very inexpensive.
Good luck.

This could be very good or very bad. A manufacturer's dream/nightmare...

But definitely interesting!

The "best" is what's best for you in terms of price, knot size, loft, etc. Certainly, Mühle offers a wide selection of expertly-engineered synths from 19-25mm in a wide range of handle types. I have a full set and I love them.

The current version from Muhle seems widely acclaimed as the best. The Kent is certainly receiving a lot of attention. I've used neither, but I have a the new Omega synthetic on the way...
